ILLRIOT is Wellington’s blazing new live electronic music duo fronted by Kirsten Te Rito (vocals) and James Illingworth (keys).
Merging James' abilities as a highly skilled jazz pianist with lush synth keyboards and Kirsten’s magnetic vocal melodies and her love of vocal production they’ve created luminous soundscapes that will seduce your cerebral cortex.
Drawing on their combined love of electronic music and vast musical knowledge base they have constructed a slew of original tunes, with Australian/South African producer Cam Bluff working behind the scenes on final production (Amy Shark, Bliss n Eso, Hilltop Hoods) .
Also featuring the mighty drums of Darren Mathiassen (Shapeshifter) and the dexterous bass of Johnny Lawrence (Electric Wire Hustle).
